In the dog house again!
Poppy did a very bad thing, a dog normal thing- but it scared CeCe, and Red and CeCe are both still upset about it. This was two days ago now.
Yesterday she ravaged the kitchen trash because Sir B. as home honey forgot to put the trash out of reach when he left to run errands.
If I had a cone of shame she’d be wearing it.
She has been lying on the dog blanket that is behind two chairs...

TB and K are on the drive to Boston, I expect TB will get to drive most of the way there, as K. will have to drive back to Hip-Shire alone.
Sir B. and Red did the hot/fast/careful wash and dry of china, fragile glasses, and good stainless. (No silver service this Xmas). I then polished two silver candle sticks and the one silver serving spoon we used. Now we can be lazy about finishing the rest...
dinner is digesting, guests have drifted off
the in laws went to bed and the adult chillins are in the basement packing up stuff and watching the Incredibles. Bets are on to see if K, M, or TB falls asleep first during the movie.
Tomorrow morning will be spend launching people out the door, then clean up of Christmas debris, and filtering in of new items begins. Feel blessed to be with people who are such easy companions.

Stocking and presents opened. All claim to be delighted.
Sir B. outdid himself with brunch-fest. Homemade cinnamon rolls, two types of sausage, scrambled eggs, and a Red Queen fruit salad.
Dinner will be roastbeast and twice bake potatoes, veggies, rolls, and pie. Also an awesome-sauce cookie plate of course.

gimme a medal
ate lunch at my desk and then rushed home on an extra long lunch to scrub and mop the kitchen floor, mop the bathroom, and vacuum the living room.
I did all the dishes and cleaned the counters in the kitchen before I left this morning.
Now if I can get the downstairs bath tidy and deal with my jewelry bits in the dining room I might be ok with the In Laws coming through my door tomorrow.

splatted my mocha coffee this morning
knocked a full cup over while being handed paperwork. All over the desk! The 2012 agenda is shot, but I did not lose any important letters or paperwork in the flood. My first major work spill since I started (about six months ago). That is a long time for me.
The cream colored sweater will need some spot treating when I get home.

Cookie fail= bloody mess
pulled frozen cookie dough to make some more cream cheese jam cookies, and they came out looking (red raspberry) like infected flesh wound cookies! I couldn’t understand what went so wrong. It was the night I was mad at all the things children, so I chalked it up to inattention.
